Today(on 9th July), Petitioners sought an open court hearing before a three-judge bench, led by CJI Chandrachud, to review the denial of marriage equality to the queer community by the Supreme Court. The petition challenges the Supreme Court’s decision against legalizing same-sex marriage in India, emphasizing the fundamental right to marry for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation.
