In the WBSSC job case, a group of ‘untainted’ teachers who lost their jobs after the Supreme Court’s ruling have approached the Calcutta High Court, alleging that Bengal Police are harassing them despite the apex court’s order.
Today(on 17th March),The Calcutta High Court has stayed the FIR against former judge and BJP leader Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay, who was accused of assaulting protesting teachers. Justice Tirthankar Ghosh highlighted that the FIR included allegations of abetment.
