The Supreme Court Today (Aug 11) said it will hear on Thursday a petition claiming elephants were forcibly taken to Gujarat’s Vantara facility. CJI BR Gavai directed the matter to be listed later this week.

Delhi HC Reverses Ban on ‘Ferocious Dog’ Breeds

Today, 18th April, The Delhi High Court invalidated a Central government circular banning specific “ferocious dog” breeds due to lack of private stakeholder consultation. They ordered a new circular after public objections were considered. The Karnataka High Court also set aside a similar circular on April 10. The ban included breeds like Pitbull Terrier, Rottweiler, and Mastiffs.
