PFI Leader OMA Salam’s Parole Plea| “If The Accused Wants To Do The Ritual, They Can”: Delhi HC

Today, On 28th April,The Delhi High Court granted parole to PFI leader OMA Salam for attending family matters, stating, “If the accused wants to do the ritual, they can,” while observing that whether the ritual is mandatory or optional is not important.

NIA Opposes Custody Parole Plea of PFI Leader OMA Salam in Delhi High Court

The National Investigation Agency opposed OMA Salam’s request for a 15-day custody parole to attend religious ceremonies in Kerala following his daughter’s death. While the NIA suggested a one-day visit was reasonable, the court noted the need for verification of Salam’s claims regarding the rituals. Salam is under arrest for alleged terror-related activities.

“No Case was Made Out for the Grant of Interim Bail”| Delhi HC Rejects Interim Bail for PFI Leader OMA Salam in UAPA Case

Today(on 30th August),The Delhi High Court denied interim bail to Popular Front of India (PFI) leader OMA Salam, who was arrested under the UAPA. The bench, comprising Justices Prathiba M Singh and Amit Sharma, ruled that Salam’s plea did not justify the granting of interim bail.
