Supreme Court, which had established guidelines for designating lawyers as Senior Advocates. A special bench comprising Justices AS Oka, Ujjal Bhuyan, and SVN Bhatti is hearing the matter, with Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta appearing for the Supreme Court’s administrative side.
NEW DELHI: A recent report by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) submitted to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has concluded that the water quality of the Ganga River during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj was fit for bathing. Today (6th May): The Delhi High Court has demanded a detailed report from the Delhi Police and government on measures taken to ensure safe school evacuations during bomb threats. Stressing the need for tailored Standard Operating Procedures for schools, the court also seeks information on drill frequency, response times, and the handling of hoax calls. The deadline for the report is within ten days.
