Today, On 26th June, In the NEET paper leak case, two accused in Patna are now in CBI custody, as the agency investigates six cases across Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. The suspects were initially held by the Bihar Police’s Economic Offences Wing. The CBI is also looking into reported irregularities in NEET exams and manipulations with OMR sheets.
The Education Ministry announced the formation of a high-level committee of experts to recommend reforms in the mechanism of the examination process, improvements in data protocols, and the functioning of the NTA. The Supreme Court has tagged the fresh pleas along with pending petitions of NEET and posted them for hearing on July 8.
A Gujarat court rejected the bail plea of Mahavirprasad Sharma, a key accused in the Godhra NEET scam case, expressing disappointment over the National Testing Agency’s failure to provide crucial evidence.
