Today (26th April): The Supreme Court rejected the request to halt the Karnal Assembly bye-election, questioning its necessity given the upcoming assembly elections. The Court declined to interfere but left the matter open for future consideration. The election was contested after the former Chief Minister’s resignation, with arguments surrounding the remaining tenure of the assembly.
