Today, On 4th September, A Delhi court postponed the decision on the bail plea of Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid until September 11. He is currently in jail in connection with a 2017 terror-funding case. The ruling on September 11 will determine whether he can secure release while the investigation continues.
The NIA court in Mumbai directed the agency to submit its closure report in the Nitin Gadkari threat case to the designated court in Nagpur due to jurisdictional concerns. The Central Government today appointed former Madras High Court judge, Justice PN Prakash, as the Special Public Prosecutor for NIA cases before the Supreme Court.
