The Jharkhand High Court Today (June 28th) granted bail to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a money laundering case linked to land scam. The high court had on June 13 reserved its decision on Soren’s bail plea.

The Supreme Court Today (May 17th) adjourned former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren’s plea challenging the state high court order refusing him bail. The JMM chief was arrested in January on charges of money laundering. A bench of justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta adjourned his bail plea to May 21. The case will now be heard by a vacation bench.
