CJI Chandrachud Today (Sept 6) dismissed the plea of Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, challenging a Calcutta High Court order. The West Bengal assembly today unanimously passed the ‘Aparajita’ bill, making it the first state to amend central laws related to rape, gang-rape, and sexual crimes against children.
