The Gujarat High Court partly allowed a husband’s revision plea, reducing monthly maintenance from Rs 14,000 to Rs 12,000, with Justice P. M. Raval holding that while inflation matters, maintenance must match the parties’ status and payer’s capacity, not become excessive.
The Delhi High Court stated that a working parent’s earning capacity, whether husband or wife with custody of minor children, does not reduce their caregiving responsibilities. The Court stated that fathers’ obligation doesn’t diminish, and mothers shouldn’t be overburdened.
Allahabad: Today, 27th Feb, The Allahabad High Court instructed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to inspect the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal to determine whether it requires whitewashing and painting. This decision came after the mosque management committee sought permission to carry out the maintenance work before Ramzan.
