The Delhi High Court upheld the lower court’s decision to quash the police FIR against BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain in a rape case, providing significant relief. The court found no errors and dismissed the complainant’s revision petition, citing evidence that contradicted the allegations. This ruling was issued on Friday.
Today(on 25th July), The Calcutta High Court emphasized the need for probable cause to issue an arrest warrant, declaring that issuing one without reasonable grounds infringes on personal liberty. This observation led to the dismissal of an arrest warrant from the Jhargram court during a hearing before Justice Shubra Ghosh.
The Telangana High Court ordered a lower court to expedite the complaint filed by a BJP leader against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, for alleged remarks against the BJP during the Lok Sabha election campaign. The directive aims to speed up the judicial process, instructing the court to conduct proceedings promptly.
