An MP-MLA court in Mau has accepted a revision plea over Amit Shah’s 2022 UP poll speech. The case, based on a complaint by a Hanuman devotee, has been sent to a lower court.
Today, On 11th April, The Calcutta High Court has dismissed a plea seeking permission to hold a Hanuman Chalisa recital at Kolkata’s Red Road. The court emphasized that the petitioner must first establish a legal right to conduct such events in public spaces. It also stressed the importance of maintaining public order and secular principles.
The Delhi High Court imposed a Rs 1 lakh fine on an individual for involving Lord Hanuman in a temple dispute over private property. The court condemned the misuse of legal processes and dismissed the appeal, emphasizing that the temple did not qualify as a public temple. The fine is to be solely payable by the litigant.
