Today, On 12th November, the Supreme Court criticized the Defence Colony Welfare Association for illegally occupying the Gumti tomb in Delhi, highlighting the ASI’s failure to prevent this. The Court emphasized the need to protect heritage sites, ordered an expert assessment of the tomb’s damage, and scheduled further hearings for January 2025.
