CJI B.R. Gavai advised law graduates not to fall for peer pressure or prestige linked to foreign LLMs, stating that a foreign degree is not a stamp of worth and loans shouldn’t become a lifelong burden.
Today, On 12th July, CJI B.R. Gavai stated that India’s legal system is facing unique and pressing challenges, stressing that it is badly in need of fixing to ensure justice delivery remains effective, accessible, and in tune with present-day needs.
CJI Gavai said studying in one’s mother tongue helps students understand concepts more clearly and deeply. He added that it also instils lifelong values, shaping not just intellect but also character and cultural identity.
