Himachal Pradesh High Court launches the Chief Justice Disaster Relief Fund 2025, calling it “Not Just a Request for Assistance, But a Call of Conscience” to provide urgent help for victims of devastating rains and landslides across the State.
Today, On 25th October, The Kerala High Court ruled that the Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming Lok Sabha by-elections must not hinder ongoing relief efforts in landslide-affected Wayanad, emphasizing the protection of ecological areas during campaigning. The Court also mandated adherence to eco-friendly practices and called for an assessment of residents’ financial conditions due to accumulated debts.
Today, On 16th August, The Kerala High Court decided to conduct weekly hearings on flood relief and preventive measures following the Wayanad landslides. The court will track scientific studies, rehabilitation efforts, and identify vulnerable areas. The division bench stressed the importance of a balanced approach to development and emphasized the need for continuous oversight and updates on key issues.
