The Calcutta High Court has directed the West Bengal government to hand over all lands acquired for border fencing to the BSF by 31 March 2026. The move comes amid ongoing disputes over land acquisition for security purposes.
New Delhi, March 11: The Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday(11th March) granted bail to Tej Pratap Yadav, Hema Yadav, and other accused individuals in the Land-for-Job scam case. They appeared before the court following the summons issued to them. Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Misa Bharti filed exemption applications.

The Maharashtra government informed today (24th Oct) the Supreme Court that it plans to transfer the next portion of land for a new Bombay High Court building in Bandra by December. The special bench noted that the state has not yet taken possession of the Air India building for the mediation center’s relocation.
On September 23, Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud began construction on a new Bombay High Court complex, while the Supreme Court directed Maharashtra’s chief secretary to arrange a meeting about redeveloping an annexe building. Urgent repairs are needed, and plans for temporary relocation of court facilities are in motion, reflecting the court’s historical importance.
