Nearly 20 bureaucrats are being investigated for allegedly using fake income and disability certificates to claim reservation benefits in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, as confirmed by government officials on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Today, On 30th July, The Delhi court is set to review the anticipatory bail plea of Pooja Khedkar tomorrow, an IAS trainee facing charges of fraudulent attempts in civil services exams. The court will decide whether she will be protected from arrest during the investigation. The UPSC has taken actions against her, including filing an FIR and cancelling her candidature for future exams.
Manorama Khedkar, mother of IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, was charged with attempted murder for brandishing a gun in a viral video related to a land dispute in Pune. Puja’s father, Dilip Khedkar, is also under investigation for alleged disproportionate assets. Puja’s government training program has been suspended, and she has been ordered to return to the academy by July 23.
