On Monday (8th April), The Calcutta High Court mandates Kolkata Municipal Corporation to take strict action, including suspensions, for officials involved in the collapse of an illegal building in Garden Reach, causing 12 deaths. The court highlighted the need for a comprehensive inquiry into KMC’s involvement and urged police to integrate this aspect into their investigation. The court also emphasized the need for accountability and further legal measures if necessary.
