Kochi, Feb 28: The Kerala High Court has ordered the end of the ‘Punyam Poonkavanam Project’, a community cleaning initiative at the famous Sabarimala temple in Pathanamthitta district. The project, which started in 2011, aimed to keep the temple town clean with the help of devotees, police officers, and government officials.
Today, On 3rd December, The Supreme Court ordered the Jacobite faction to surrender control of six Kerala churches to the Orthodox faction, emphasizing compliance with previous rulings. The court warned of contempt for non-compliance and demanded access to public amenities for all factions. Further hearings are scheduled for December 17, aiming for resolution before Christmas.
