The CBFC Today (July 9) informed the Delhi High Court that it has removed offensive scenes from the movie “Udaipur Files”. The Court ordered a private screening for further review.
The Supreme Court Today (July 9) refused to urgently stop the release of ‘Udaipur Files’, a film based on the killing of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur. The petition by an accused claiming unfair trial was denied immediate hearing.
Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has approached the Delhi High Court to stop the release of the film ‘Udaipur Files’. The petition claims the movie spreads hate against Muslims and may disturb public peace.
The Supreme Court issued a notice on Monday(11th Nov) to Mohammed Javed, an accused in the 2022 beheading of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal, and to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) following a petition filed by Kanhaiya Lal’s son, Yash Teli.
