Today, On 26th July, Shiv Sena leader Bharatshet Gogavale has sought an urgent hearing in the Bombay High Court to challenge Maharashtra Speaker Rahul Narwekar’s decision not to disqualify 14 MLAs from the opposing Uddhav Thackeray faction. He argues that the members violated party instructions and should be disqualified. The court has set the hearing for August 6.
The Bombay High Court denied relief to a student, Siddhant Rane, who missed the deadline for a science institute admission. Despite his high rank, the court emphasized the importance of adhering to deadlines and dismissed his plea, stating that granting relief based on sympathy would be unfair to other students.
