NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has rejected a petition filed by a woman who challenged the dismissal of her case, where she claimed that she survived multiple bullet wounds to the head by using homeopathy medicine.
Today(on 29th July), The Delhi High Court will rule today on a petition by doctors’ associations challenging Ramdev’s claim that ‘Coronil’ cures COVID-19. The petition, part of a 2021 lawsuit against Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurveda, follows Justice Bhambhani’s reserved decision from May 21.
Today, On 23rd July, The Delhi High Court ordered a CBI probe into the death of Faizan, a 23-year-old man who was allegedly beaten by Delhi Police during the 2020 Delhi riots. This decision came in response to a petition from Faizan’s mother, who claimed that her son was illegally detained and denied medical care, leading to his death.
The Delhi High Court directed TMC MP Saket Gokhale to pay Rs 50 lakh in damages to former diplomat Lakshmi Puri for a defamation case. Gokhale was also mandated to publish an apology in The Times of India and on his X handle within eight weeks. The court’s order followed allegations of defamatory tweets made by Gokhale against Puri.
