Today, On 19th September, The Allahabad High Court granted bail to Mukhtar Ansari’s son, Umar Ansari, in a case alleging he submitted fake documents and forged his mother’s signature to reclaim land confiscated under the Gangster Act. He was earlier arrested in Lucknow.
Allahabad High Court directs that Umar Ansari’s bail plea must be heard by a regular bail court instead of an MP-MLA court, clarifying the proper jurisdiction for handling such applications in sensitive criminal matters.
