The Supreme Court clearly said that if a person dies due to their own reckless driving, their family won’t get compensation from the insurance company. This decision came after the court dismissed a claim of Rs 80 lakh made by the deceased driver’s family.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has launched a Group Mediclaim Policy 2025 with National Insurance Company for members of the SCBA Elections 2024, effective from May 5, 2025. Members can enroll until April 30, 2025, with a base coverage of Rs. 2 lakhs funded by SCBA. Extensive benefits include pre-existing disease coverage, maternity benefits, and cashless treatment.
