Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) informed the Delhi High Court that it will take down the Lakme sunscreen advertisement that allegedly disparages The Derma Co. The company assured the Court it will remove all online posts within 24 hours and take down physical hoardings within 48 hours.
The Delhi High Court prohibited Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) from comparing its Ponds skincare products with Nivea’s in advertisements following an injunction requested by Nivea’s manufacturer, Beiersdorf AG. The court found the comparison misleading and detrimental to Nivea’s reputation. The case will be heard on July 24, and the interim order reflects the significance of truthful advertising in the skincare industry.
