The Central government told the Delhi High Court it will finalise rules to implement the new industrial code by February-end. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said public objections and suggestions were already invited and the process is nearing completion soon.

The Court called this prolonged litigation an “eye-opener for all the High Courts across the country.”
Today, On 15th December, The Supreme Court declined to entertain a plea over IndiGo flight delays and cancellations, observing that parallel proceedings should be avoided. The Bench advised petitioners to approach the High Court first, leaving liberty to return later if aggrieved.

Today (9th May): The Calcutta High Court allowed Kalyan Chaub, BJP candidate from Manikatala, to withdraw his election petition due to time constraints. This follows criticism from the Supreme Court and uncertainty about holding a by-election. Kalyan challenged the 2021 election results, alleging vote-buying and coercion by the winning Trinamool candidate.
