Today, On 2nd July, Chief Justice of India emphasized the urgency of addressing climate change, advocating for a green lifestyle. He highlighted recent extreme weather in Delhi and stressed the importance of eco-friendly practices in daily life. Additionally, he emphasized the role and responsibility of courts as public service providers. Supreme Court judges and Delhi government officials attended the event.
The Rajasthan High Court Today (May 30th) directed the state government to provide compensation to the dependents of people who died due to heatwaves, and said there was a need to declare heatwaves and cold waves “national calamities”.
