[Haryana Assembly Election] “You Want Me To Stop Oath Of An Elected Govt.? I’ll Impose Cost On You”: CJI Slams Advocate

The Congress party Today (Oct 17) approached the Supreme Court challenging the Haryana Assembly Election results. During the hearing, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) expressed strong disapproval of the plea. He questioned the Congress lawyers, asking if they were seeking to prevent the swearing-in of a duly elected government. The CJI sternly remarked, “You want me to stop the oath of an elected government? I’ll impose costs on you,” criticizing the basis of the plea.
