Allahabad High Court Dismisses PIL Seeking CBI Probe into Mahakumbh Irregularities

Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh (India): Today, 17th March, The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities during the Mahakumbh event in Prayagraj.

Supreme Court to Hear Challenges Against New CEC, EC Appointment Rules on February 19

NEW DELHI: Today, 12th Feb, The Supreme Court of India is set to hear a series of petitions on February 19, challenging the validity of the new rules for appointing the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and Election Commissioners (ECs). This hearing will take place just a day after the retirement of the current CEC, Rajiv Kumar, on February 18.
