The Supreme Court Today (July 12th) granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case, saying the AAP supremo “suffered incarceration of 90 days”. However, Kejriwal will remain in Tihar Jail as he was also arrested by the Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the corruption case related to the alleged liquor policy scam.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal filed a petition in the Delhi High Court Today (July 1st) to challenge his arrest and subsequent remand by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in connection with the excise policy case. Kejriwal’s move comes after a Delhi court, on June 26, upheld the legality of his arrest and ordered him into CBI custody for three days.

The Rouse Avenue court Today (June 26th) allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to interrogate Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the case connected to the Delhi excise policy. Pursuant to the permission granted by Special Judge Amitabh Rawat to examine Kejriwal, the CBI proceeded to formally arrest Kejriwal in the case.
