New Delhi: Today (9th April): The Supreme Court of India upheld Independent MLA Karikho Kri’s 2019 election in Arunachal Pradesh, overturning the Gauhati High Court’s nullification ruling. Congress candidate Nuney Tayang’s allegations of false declarations and omissions by Kri were thoroughly reviewed, with the apex court finding no grounds to invalidate Kri’s election as Tezu’s MLA.
