Kochi, Feb 28: The Kerala High Court has ordered the end of the ‘Punyam Poonkavanam Project’, a community cleaning initiative at the famous Sabarimala temple in Pathanamthitta district. The project, which started in 2011, aimed to keep the temple town clean with the help of devotees, police officers, and government officials.
Kolkata: The West Bengal government has allocated Rs 2 crore to each medical college for their annual fest. However, concerns have been raised that this money might be misused. A petition has been filed in the Calcutta High Court, expressing fears that “the kingpins of threat culture” may take advantage of these funds.
