Today(on 23rd April),The Calcutta High Court has ordered the West Bengal chief secretary to promptly decide on granting sanction for prosecuting former public servants involved in the 2016 school jobs case. Failure to comply may result in appropriate proceedings. This decision gains significance following the recent cancellation of a massive number of appointments in government-sponsored schools due to invalid recruitment processes.
