Budaun: A fast-track court in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, has decided to hear the case between Nilkanth Mahadev Temple and Shamsi Jama Masjid on May 28. The case is about a religious site dispute, and the hearing was postponed because a new judge has taken over the matter and needs time to go through the case documents.
Banaras, UP: A government doctor, Dr. Anamika Singh, testified before a fast-track court on Friday(17th Jan) regarding the sexual assault case involving a student from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Dr. Singh stated that she observed scratch marks on the private parts of the victim during her medical examination.
The Varanasi Fast Track Court dismissed the Hindu side’s plea for a new ASI survey of the Gyanvapi complex, as per Advocate Rastogi’s petition. Previously, an ASI survey detected historical artifacts amid claims that a mosque was built over a Hindu temple. Rastogi is considering appealing the decision.
