New Delhi, February 8: The Supreme Court of India has agreed to hear a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against a Bombay High Court order that suspended the life sentence of gangster Chhota Rajan in the 2021 murder case of Mumbai hotelier Jaya Shetty. The High Court had also granted him bail.
The Delhi High Court Today (Dec 5) ordered the Delhi government to extend State protection to music producer Amandeep Batra after he reported receiving threats and extortion calls from the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs. “He (Amandeep Batra) has every reason to be scared,” said Justice Singh said before directing the Delhi government to immediately provide the music producer State protection.
