Today (18th April): The Enforcement Directorate alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in custody for an excise scam case, is consuming high-sugar foods despite being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes to establish grounds for medical bail. The court has directed Tihar jail authorities to provide a report on Kejriwal’s diet chart to verify the allegations. Kejriwal’s counsel cited fluctuating blood sugar levels and sought permission for a consultation. Supporters expressed concerns over his treatment in jail.
