Today, On 21st May, In the Puja Khedkar case, the Supreme Court questioned the seriousness of the allegations, asking, “Has she committed murder?” and granted anticipatory bail to the former IAS probationer, noting the charges didn’t warrant immediate custody.
Today, On 15th April, The Supreme Court has extended interim protection from arrest to former IAS trainee Puja Khedkar in connection with the ongoing probe into alleged irregularities in her selection. The court also sought a response from the Maharashtra government on her plea.
Pooja Khedkar, a former IAS officer, faces allegations of submitting forged disability certificates to cheat in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022. The Delhi High Court extended her interim arrest protection until October 4, 2024, as investigations suggest a larger conspiracy. Khedkar denies the charges and was discharged from the service on September 7.
