Today(12th August), the Supreme Court sought the Kerala government’s response on the third bail plea of Sunil NS, known as ‘Pulsar’ Suni, an accused in the 2017 Kerala actress assault case involving actor Dileep. The court also stayed the High Court’s order for Suni to deposit Rs. 25,000 as costs.
In 2017, a prominent actress was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted, leading to an ongoing trial involving actor Dileep. The victim has petitioned the Kerala High Court to investigate unauthorized access to crucial evidence, seeking a fairer process after deeming the initial inquiry inadequate. The case is set for further examination on May 30th.
The Kerala High Court Today rejected the State Prosecution’s appeal to revoke actor Dileep’s bail in the 2017 actress assault case. The court clarified that the trial judge’s rulings wouldn’t affect the main trial. Dileep is accused of orchestrating the assault in retaliation for a personal matter. The prosecution alleged witness coercion and evidence tampering. Despite facing additional allegations, Dileep secured bail.
