Delhi High Court to Direct Removal of Memes, Videos Targeting BJP Leader Gaurav Bhatia: Will Order Take Down of Defamatory Content

Today, On 25th September, Delhi High Court orally stated that it will direct the removal of memes and videos targeting BJP leader and Senior Advocate Gaurav Bhatia. The Court stated, “We will order take down of defamatory videos” if defendants fail to comply.

Supreme Court Seeks Centre’s Response on Caste Certificate Nomenclature Change Without Affecting Rights

New Delhi, Feb 24 – The Supreme Court suggested that the central government consider changing the terminology used in caste certificates for Scheduled Caste (SC) individuals. However, the court emphasized that their rights should remain unchanged. A bench consisting of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh acknowledged that the final decision rests with Parliament but said that modifying the nomenclature could help prevent individuals from being identified by caste names.
