Today, On 13th May, In the Election Commission protest case, the Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to TMC leaders Derek O’Brien, Sagarika Ghose, and Saket Gokhale. The leaders were arrested earlier this year during their protest outside the Election Commission.
The Supreme Court clarified that a tweet linking CJI’s wife to a medical lobby in Bengal is factually incorrect and malicious. The registry filed a complaint with Delhi Police. Bengal police warned against spreading disinformation. Another post falsely claimed CJI’s family holidayed with the Chief Minister’s nephew, but it was debunked.
