NEW DELHI: Today, 11th March, In a new setback for Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently out on bail in the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam case and recently lost the Delhi Assembly elections – including his own New Delhi constituency – a court in the national capital has ordered the registration of a first information report (FIR) against him and other leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the alleged misuse of public funds for putting up large hoardings.
The CBI’s chargesheet reveals that two former Goa MLAs, who ran on AAP tickets in the 2022 Assembly elections, were allegedly paid in cash by a party volunteer for campaign expenses. This claim is part of the ongoing investigation into the Delhi excise policy corruption case.
Today(on 16th July), The Supreme Court has issued a notice on former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s bail applications, as he has been in custody for 16 months amidst money laundering and corruption allegations related to a liquor policy scandal. The next hearing is scheduled for July 29, following previous assurances of expeditious investigation and charge sheet filing.
