Today, On 17th September, Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister, resigned following a Supreme Court order, and named Atishi as his successor. Atishi pledged to work for Kejriwal’s return and urged voters to support the party. She emphasized defending AAP against conspiracies and expressed both gratitude and sadness. Kejriwal called for early elections and declared his quest for “justice from the people’s court.”
Today, On 16th September, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed the Supreme Court’s criticism of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), warning that such remarks could undermine the agency. Stressing institutional autonomy and the rule of law, he highlighted the need to preserve the morale of these bodies and avoid politicizing them. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bail and resignation were also mentioned.
