On Sunday (28th April): Retired Justice S Muralidhar criticized the new criminal laws for failing to bring significant change or decolonization to the legal framework. He highlighted persistent outdated provisions and the laws’ failure to address human rights violations and provide fair compensation for wrongful prosecution. He urged aspiring lawyers to uphold their clients’ rights and defend them diligently.
