Today, On 22nd April, The Supreme Court has expressed concern over cricket match-fixing, stating it has serious financial effects on the country’s economy. While hearing the 2019 Karnataka Premier League scandal, the Court said it is keen to examine the issue further, noting that such betting harms the financial system significantly.
