The Supreme Court clarified that even an unsigned contract containing an arbitration clause can be binding if the parties have accepted and acted upon its terms, stressing that conduct and intention matter more than the absence of signatures.
The Delhi High Court today upheld a single-judge order directing SpiceJet to return two leased aircraft and three engines to TWC Aviation Capital, due to an outstanding debt of nearly Rs 120 crore. Despite SpiceJet’s financial struggles, the court refused to grant interim relief. The airline eventually agreed to comply with the order by June 17, 2024.
On Wednesday (20th March): MS Dhoni filed a case against former business partners, alleging they cheated him of around Rs 16 crore by opening cricket academies without his consent and not sharing profits. A court in Ranchi has directed the issuance of summons to the accused, who allegedly breached their agreement with the former Indian cricket captain.
