The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) had challenged the ruling, which recognized Isha Foundation as an educational institute eligible for certain environmental norm relaxations. The High Court had earlier ruled in favor of the foundation, granting it exemptions under specific regulations.
