A court has withdrawn an important charge against two journalists in a case linked to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The journalists had shared a video on their X account where a man allegedly made “insulting” and “abusive” comments about Reddy. This decision comes at a time when there are rising tensions between the media and the state government.
Today, On 29th August, the Karnataka High Court dismissed CBI’s petition to investigate DK Shivakumar, deferring the matter to the Supreme Court due to its Center-State nature. This decision came after the State government withdrew consent for a CBI probe into Shivakumar’s alleged illegal assets. The Court rejected the petitions, citing lack of maintainability.
