The Allahabad High Court has extended the deadline for the central government to respond to a petition regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s alleged British citizenship. The government failed to respond by the previous deadline, prompting the court to allow a new deadline of March 24, 2025, for further proceedings.
The Delhi High Court today(26th Sept) will delay hearing BJP leader Subramanian Swamy’s citizenship petition against Rahul Gandhi until it assesses a related case pending in the Allahabad High Court. The judges emphasized the importance of avoiding simultaneous proceedings on the same issue, with the next hearing scheduled for October 9.
