Approach Registry With Reasons for Urgency; Cases Will Be Scrutinised and Listed Accordingly: CJI to Lawyers

Today, On 22nd December, Chief Justice of India Surya Kant urged lawyers to approach the Supreme Court Registry for urgent hearings. He emphasized that lawyers must provide valid reasons for urgency so that the cases can be properly scrutinised and listed accordingly.

Supreme Court’s New Working Hour Rules Effective from July 14, 2025: ‘No Work After 4:30 PM Unless Urgent’

Today, On 16th June, the Supreme Court of India officially notified changes to its office working hours under the Supreme Court (Amendment) Rules, 2025. Effective from July 14, no work will continue after 4:30 PM unless marked as urgent.
